Lash Extensions

With the popularity of eyelash extensions growing among women who wants thinker, longer, sexier lashes, there are several different types of lashes. But what’s the difference?

Mink Lashes

Mink lashes are the most natural eyelash extensions. Mink lashes are real fur from minks tail, they are light weight, soft, and naturally carry a beautiful curl.

Faux Mink Lashes

These are the most popular extensions used today. These man made, poly-fiber lashes come in a variety of lengths, diameters and curls, have good flexibility and remain somewhat natural looking depending on the length. They’re designed to imitate real mink fur, but lash artists and clients both love this of extension type because the curl is permanent and they’re low maintenance. No need to curl or put mascara on these type of extensions.

Silk Lashes

These are the mid-weight type of lash extensions, and are finer and more flexible than the synthetic type which makes their retention slightly better. Because of their lightweight they are good to use on  clients with weak and flimsy natural lashes. Like synthetic lashes, silk come in a variety of curls and lengths. These types of extensions also hold their curl but the curl tends to be less uniform then synthetic lashes, making them better for clients looking for a more natural look. Silk lashes tend to be thicker than any other type of extensions.

What type of lashes do we offer at Paris Nails?

At Paris Nails we offer both the Faux or Synthetic Mink Lashes as well as the Silk Lashes. We don’t offer the real Mink Lashes because a fullset would cost you $300-$500. There are also concerns about animal cruelty and how these minks are being treated to harvest the fur.

What is the cost?

The initial full set cost from $75-$85+ depending on lash types and the fullness desired.

A refill every two weeks is highly recommended and will cost from $55-$65+.

Do I need mascara?

The purpose of getting an eyelash extensions is to get rid of the hassle of putting on mascara. If you desire to wear mascara, only use mascara intended for lash extensions.

How long does it take?

A new set of lashes takes about 1.5 hours and a refill takes about 45 minutes – 1 hour.
